This building sits on the bank of Four Mile Brook.  About fifty years ago, it was a working icehouse.  The ice was cut on a nearby pond, and the walls were insulated with sawdust to preserve the ice into the summer.

We hope to find out more about the history of Four Mile Brook and post it here.
